I like the ... 5/4 (?) signature you've used. I usually don't divide my 5/4 beats like you do. It's wonderful in how many ways you can divide that signature.
The sudden changes were welcome too! Makes it really sound like something is going wrong.

I wonder if this is actually possible on a real SID-chip, it has quite a lot of depth in terms of stuff going on at the same time. But if you tried to imitate the SID-chip, I assume you know about it's limitations. So if you did keep the limitations in mind, it's pretty mind-blowing what you did. Creating a whole world of sound with just those 3 tracks.

I'll have to show this to Jeroen Tel sometime.

Good job!

Thank you for listening my track.
I love using non-4/4 time signatures (like 3/4, or in this case 5/4)
Things like 3 channel polyphony, only pulse, saw, triangle and noise, Ring mod, cutoff, resonance (and the possibility to change "instrument" during playback) makes the SID something more capable than a 2A03, even using the same tricks like the "Follin brothers 1 channel echo"
The song was made in FL Studio, and I tried to have all the limitations in mind, so... if someone try to make a C64 play this, i will be possible (in some way).

There is a video in my youtube channel showing what is going with the three channel in the whole song, if you're interesed.

I'm not at all familiar with this type of Electronic Music, but it certainly sounds very professional.
Also, this stuff is loooooud man. I'm always a bit reluctant to smack the dynamics of my tracks so much, but it certainly gives it "that" sound. Good work, keep it up.

Wow. That is some heavy side-chaining right there.
I have nothing to add. Professional production all around.

Are you yourself satisfied with the end result?

Pretty damn catchy. I like the piano, gives it a nice contrast.
I feel like the snare is a bit too boxy and needs a bit more high end, but that could be your choice. The kick has a bit too much high end for my taste (the very very high-end, I'd tame that a bit)

I like what you're doing, the switches between styles and tempos really grabbed my attention. Nice sound design too, I like how you cycle between synths and that they are never playing at the same time. Really shows how much effort you put into the crafting of each sound.

Keep it up!

Pretty damn catchy. The mixdown needs a lot of work though. There's a lot of stuff fighting for your attention, I'd give the vocals more space I can hardly hear them. I'd bring the stuff that is just there to add detail to the track more to the background and the important elements to the front.

But other than that, I enjoyed it a lot. Interesting mix of genres. Usually this type of song is not accompanied by electronic instruments, I liked that about it. Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback on the song :-)

Most certainly okay for a track that you wrote in a couple of hours! I like the dreamy vibe.
DL+Faved, good work.

appreciated

Modern UK Hardcore/Happy Hardcore is one of my favourite genres. The mixdown is pretty damn good. I feel like the chord progression might be a bit too cliché, I'd change the inversions so it sounds less cliché.

The drop gave me exactly what I craved for in the intro. You did a really good job in having that contrast between the two sections. Nice work!

LumpyDumpyBuuu responds:

thank you very much.

Not what I expected when I saw "Dubstep" in the genre information.

I won't judge the mix too harshly, because it's unfinished. But I feel like the vocals sound like they are on top of the track, they don't completely blend together.

The snare sounds a bit too dry for my taste, I'd like to hear it go on for a bit longer, so it sounds more like it belongs in the same space as the vocals.

But as a demo, I feel like this could really work well. The backing track sounds nice and the vocal-hook is very memorable! This is one of those tracks that will sit in my head for at least a week, lol.

I would really like to hear a finished version of this, with a proper mixdown.
